Let us know what you would serve with the dish. It is so hard to think about menu’s when you just want to get to BINGO.
Here is a sample recipe from
“Gotta Get to BINGO Cookbook”
Early Bird Special Mushroom Potatoes
7 medium potatoes
1 medium onion, peeled and thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic thinly sliced
2 green onions sliced
1 can (8 ounces) chopped mushroom pieces drained
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
¼ cup butter, cubed
1 can (10 ¾ oz.) Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, undiluted
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
Get up a little early on BINGO day – in a slow cooker, layer half of the potatoes, onion, garlic, green onion, mushrooms, flour, salt, pepper, and butter. Repeat layers. Pour the Campell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup over the top. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours until the potatoes are tender. During that time, go get your hair done, maybe get a manicure. When you get home, sprinkle with the cheese and let cook another 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with a broiled chicken breast or steak and a salad. Fast…easy…and don’t be surprised if your husband gives you a few extra BINGO bucks.
